The Crystal Palace Park Trust is due to take over day-to-day running of the Park from Bromley Council. It has stated that, in order to provide sufficient income for maintenance and much-needed improvements, it is essential that the Park hosts large scale events such as the recent South Facing and Wireless concerts. The Wireless event caused major disruption across the Crystal Palace, Anerley, Penge and Upper Norwood areas and residents have expressed strong views both in support of and against future major events. The Trust has indicated that it will carry out a consultation later in the year but CPCA believes that local residents should be invited to express their views now, whilst the events are fresh in people’s minds.
